Unlike many extreme diets, the alkaline diet doesn’t urge you to completely abandon the whole food group. The balance is 80/20 in favor of alkaline dishes. The emphasis is on vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and low-sugar fruits. If for some reason, you can’t eat like this every day, trust the mineral supplements. But only after consultation with a doctor.
The group of alkaline foods: bananas, nuts, different types of cabbage, arugula, celery, salads, unrefined vegetable oil, vegetables (for example, carrots, pumpkin, cucumbers, zucchini, sweet peppers) and fruits (for example, pear, dates, melon).
The group of acidic products: carbonated drinks, meat (chicken, pork, beef, turkey), pastries, eggs, butter, cottage cheese and yogurt, white rice, pastry, dried fruits.
It is desirable to drink green tea, herbal infusions, chicory and smoothies. From sweet you can eat only sweet honey (best honeycomb), and maple syrup.
